The Managing Director, Anambra state Waste Management Authority, ASWAMA, Mr. Amechi Akorah has appealed to residents of Awka North local government area to desist from indiscriminate waste disposal
.
Mr. Akorah, who made the appeal in Awka, noted that the Agency is determined to maintaining clean and healthy environment.
He observed that communities that share boundaries with Awka bear the weight of population surge and consequently experience rise in their municipal waste generation.
The ASWAMA Boss unveiled that he had directed the Presidents General of Awka neighbouring communities to designate a site at their various communities for waste bins for effective service delivery.
