Owing to the global ravaging of COVID-19, JohnBosco Onunkwo Foundation has distributed relief materials worth over fifteen million naira to indigent Ndi Anambra to help cushion the hardship occasioned by the pandemic.
The relief materials, which included hand sanitizers, hand clove, face masks and cash is for the twenty-one local government areas in the state.
At Umuchu in Aguata council area, the exercise recorded huge success as beneficiaries joyfully trooped out en-mass to receive from one of their own and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon him.
Each person received two hand sanitizers, hand glove, face masks and cash of five thousand naira.
Speaking at the event , the President General of Umuchu, Mr. Emeka Ononuju, who described the benefactor, Mr. JohnBosco Onunkwo as a philanthropist, thanked him for the gesture.
He said that Mr. Onunkwo has been doing a lot of humanitarian work through his foundation for so many years and prayed God to reward him abundantly.
Also at Ihiala, Njikoka, Oyi as well as other local government areas visited, the story was not different, as beneficiaries were full of joy being remembered by an illustrious son of the state at this critical period.
Reacting to the development, the Head of the Foundation, Mr. Chinemerem Oguegbe said the foundation is purely based on humanitarian work, saving lives and rapid response to emergencies among others.
Sir, Ben Aniekwe, Evangelist Chuks Obed, Akunne Onochie among others, thanked the foundation for its quick response and interventions and prayed for God’s abundant blessings.
