It was an atmosphere of grief and sense of great loss, as late Miss Ngozi Perpetual Onwurah, staff of Anambra Broadcasting Service, was buried in Awka, her country home.

Correspondent, Kenechukwu Chukwudi covered her burial rites and reports that Miss Onwurah who died at the age of fifty-nine, was known for her dedication to duty especially with her punctuality and friendly disposition to other staff members.

Mourners at her burial described her death as a painful, given the value she brought to bear both in her family and work place.
For the Acting Director of Administration ABS, Lady Tina Ekenta, who led ABS family to the burial, late Ngozi Onwurah was a dedicated worker, who did her job with great zeal, as she was well loved by her colleagues.

The Director of Commercial Services, in ABS, who was late Ngozi’s immediate boss, Mrs Beatrice Akwanamnye and Mr. Lambert Eze of same department, described the deceased as utility staff who did her work diligently.

They maintained that she had won numerous awards for her outstanding service and character, noting that she would be greatly missed, as all prayed for God to give her soul eternal rest.

The younger brother of the deceased, Mr Peter Onwurah, said words could not describe the personality his late sister was made of, as he said that since the death of their parents, she became a mother figure and took up responsibilities for the family.

A member of the Onwurah extended family, Mrs Catherine Onwurah, prayed for the repose of Ngozi’s soul in God’s bosom.
The burial ceremony was conducted in observance of the COVID-19 preventive measures.
