The remains of Late Mr. Obiora Emodi have been laid to rest at his country home, Umuota village Obosi, Idemili North local government area.

Late Mr. Emodi, who died at the age of sixty, was an elder brother to Mr. Betram Emodi of the Camera Unit of the Anambra Broadcasting Service Onitsha.

During a funeral service at his compound, the Vicar of All Saint Anglican Church Little Wood Estate, Obosi, Reverend Friday Okonkwo, charged Christians to strive to be at peace with their maker as no one knows when death will come calling.

Reverend Okonkwo, who noted that late Emodi has ran and completed his race, sympathized with the Emodi family, especially his wife and children, reminding them that the death of their father is never the end of their world rather they should put all their trust in God knowing that their help and Salvation will come from him.
Later in an interview, the deceased uncle and retired Director of Engineering Department, Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr. Kingsley Emodi, described his late nephew as a reliable man, who had lived a very quiet life and was passionate about the welfare of his family and extended family members.

He prayed God to grant him eternal rest while promising to ensure that his wife and children will be taken care of by the Emodi family.
His first daughter, Miss Somto Emodi, while praying God to grant her late father eternal rest, described him as a loving and caring father, whose death has created a great vacuum in their lives, promising to take care of her mother and her siblings.
Mr. Betram Emodi disclosed that his late brother lived a life, worthy of emulation, noting that the entire Emodi family would miss him terribly.

His Aunt, Ogbuechi Chionye Chukwurah said she cannot stop weeping for her late nephew, whose death has brought them so much grief and prayed God to grant him eternal rest and help in training the children he left behind.
Highpoints of the ceremony were prayer for the family and interment proper.
