Police operatives attached to the Anambra Command Public Complaint and Anti Piracy Unit, APPCAP has arrested one Chibuzor Nwachukwu Emmanuel aged twenty-four years of Okochi ime Okpuno, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State for stealing a tricycle.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed in a released said the suspect who was an habitual offender jumped over a fence and allegedly stole a tricycle belonging to one Chukwunonso Kelvin Okafor of Ikolo House Umudioka inside his compound.
The statement said the suspect has confessed voluntarily and exhibit was recovered in his possession.
The release also said that investigation is still ongoing after which suspect would be brought to book.
It added that the Command is urging vehicle and tricycle owners to install tracking or other security devices in order to secure their property from the vehicles and tricycle stealing syndicates.
