Anambra State Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science, Technology and
Solid Minerals has kicked off its “Legacy Year Project” campaign.
The Commissioner, Mrs. Sally Mbanefo launched the campaign at the
Jerome Udoji State Secretariat, Awka, during her familiarization
meeting with major stakeholders in tertiary education.
The meeting also served as an avenue for them to present their score cards in the past years, while re-strategizing to maintain the state’s enviable status in the Education sector.
Mrs. Mbanefo ordered that the Tertiary Education Sector must key into
the Legacy Year Projects of the present administration, which seeks to
record lots of breakthrough in all aspects of human endeavors through
credible, transparent and innovative projects.
She revealed that through her efforts, the Ministry has successfully
acquired over eighty million books electronically to enhance the
E-learning in the state which will be replicated at basic education
and urged all to harvest the God given talents in them to drive the
vision of the state government.
The Vice Chancellor, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, Professor Greg Nwakoby and the Rector, Anambra State Polytechnic Mgbakwu, Dr. Nneka Mefor welcomed Mrs. Mbanefo to the Ministry noting that with her vast knowledge and experience, she would reposition tertiary institutions in the state.
They promised unflinching support to the state
government’s vision and mission.
