The ongoing construction of a cargo airport in Anambra State has continued to attract commendations.
A stakeholder in Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area Chief Innocent Nwabueze who spoke to our correspondent Ngozi Obileri extolled the developmental strides of Governor Willie Obiano.
Chief Nwabueze, a retired staff in charge of Health Safety and Environment at the Port Harcout Refinery expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of infrastructural development going on in the State.
Chief Nwabueze who has ventured into many other areas of endeavour including farming, noted that unlike various criticisms about governance in Anambra, he has seen that Governor Obiano has maintained steady and gradual development of the State.
The elder statesman, explained that the Governor being a visionary leader has predicted the future and what the people will face in terms of hunger which was why he introduced the Ugbo Azuno Scheme.
Chief Nwabueze said he is in love with the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA because of its infrastructural development plan which it has been following over a decade now, unlike other parties that fail their promises as soon as they make them .
He added that the approach adopted by Anambra State government in the fight against coronavirus pandemic has saved Ndi Anambra from the deadly virus, urging the government not to relent.
Chief Nwabueze advised Ndi Anambra to always maintain all the safety protocols, reminding them of the need to always put on face masks if they must go out, obey the regular hand washing and use of alcohol based sanitizers to keep safe and free from the deadly virus.
