It was a display of class over the weekend during the wedding and
traditional marriage ceremony between Miracle Awuzie from
Ukpor, Nnewi South Council Area and Dr Ifeanyi Okafor , from Oraifite,
in Ekwusigo Council Area.

The event which took place at Oraifite and Ukpor respectively was
covered by Ngozi Obileri.

Witnessing the marriage of one’s first daughter is always of immense
joy to parents.

No wonder the parents of Miracle Okafor reserved no
resources in making sure that she was given a flamboyant marriage both
during the wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies.

After the traditional wedding Processes in accordance with the traditional
of Ndi Ukpor, the guests who already ate and drank to their
fill, were awed with presentation of a brand new latest model Mercedes
4matic new jeep and other household valuables as wedding
gift from the mother of the bride, Dr Chioma Awuzie of the Federal
Polytechnic Oko.

Earlier during the solemnization of holy matrimony, at Saint George’s
Catholic Church Oraifite, a visiting Priest, Reverend Father Ifeanyi
Okonkwo urged the couple to love themselves unconditionally and always
pray together to ensure effective communication, and avoid third party
in their marital life.

Speaking at the event, the Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr Fransica
Nwafulugo and the eldest aunt of the bride, Mrs. Chinwe Kannu, who was
a former staff of the ABS, and now a Commandant of the Nigeria
Security and Civil Defence Corps in Enugu State congratulated the
couple and advised them to stand firm in their faith in God and the
love that brought them together for their marriage to succeed.

In their various speeches, the parents of the bride
Chief Fidelis and Dr Chioma Awuzie thanked God that they were alive to witnessed their daughter’s marriage ceremony and wished them fruitful and love filled union.

On their parts, the parents of the groom Mr. Gabriel and Mrs.
Christiana Okafor, said they are blessed to be part of their third
son’s marriage activities and prayed God to be with them.

The new couple Mr. and Mrs. Ifeanyi Okafor appreciated God for uniting
them together in love, and thanked especially their parents and all
who gathered to be witnesses to their union.

The event featured exchange of marital vows, while all safety
protocols against COVID-19 were strictly observed.
