Motorists plying Iweka road to Ochanja roundabout are now finding it
easy to move about the area following the decongestion of road by men
of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade.
ABS monitored the development and observed that the petty traders who
occupied parts of the road thereby preventing free flow of traffic
have been driven into the market.

Other obstructions like broken down vehicles, wastes generated from
markets within Ochanja Market have also been evacuated.
Speaking to the ABS, a personnel of OCHA brigade, Mr. Chukwuma Obianyo
said they will be working there for three months to instill order at
that axis and that they start work from eight o’clock in the morning
and close by six o’clock in the evening daily.
He appealed to traders and people living in the area to do the needful
to aid their work.

In a comment, a commercial tricyclist, Mr. Obinna Okonkwo who
commended Anambra state government and OCHA Brigade for their good
work in Anambra state, urged the Brigade to be consistent in their
work to prevent the petty traders from coming back to occupy the road
to display their wares.
