The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Housing and Urban
Development says it is not satisfied with the absence of the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, during
its visit to the ministry for oversight function.

Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the committee which
spoke through its chairman, Honourable Lawrence Ezeudu perceived the
attitude of the Commissioner as outright disrespect for the Anambra
State House of Assembly.

The Committee resolved to invite the Commissioner to appear before it
on date that will be communicated to him.
It also made it clear that their oversight function at government
agencies was not designed to witch-hunt anybody but to exercise the
task assigned to it by the 1999 constitution.
