The wife of Governor of Anambra State and founder of Caring Family
Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano has commended
the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Mrs. Aisha
Buhari for donating food items and other essential commodities for Ndi
Anambra.
Dr. Obiano made the commendation in Awka following receipt of the
donation from Aisha Buhari Foundation “Future Assured programme”.
The items donated were Five hundred bags of ten kg rice, five hundred
nylon packs of condiments, thirty pieces of thermometer and five
cartons of face masks.
Speaking on the donation, the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor
Willie Obiano who spoke on behalf of Dr. Obiano appreciated
the gesture from the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to the Governor’s wife, Mrs. Buhari has demonstrated amazing
philanthropy with her kind gesture in support of ndi Anambra and
appreciated her for remembering ndi Anambra by donating palliative
materials in this period of COVID-19 pandemic
Dr. Obiano assured that the materials will be usefully applied in
support of the government’s efforts to cushion the effects of
Coronavirus pandemic on those most in need of it across the state.
