All Saints Police Chaplaincy Awka, has been dedicated by the
Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim,
assisted by Bishop Johnson Ekwe of Niger West Diocese.
The Chaplaincy located at the state Police Headquarters, Awka was
donated by Chief Ruben Agina of Oba, Idemili South Council Area.

Speaking while dedicating the chaplaincy, Most Reverend Ibezim said
the prayer house would encourage police personnel who are Christians
to maintain regular prayer and closer relationship with God as well as
rededicate themselves to work of God to attract blessing, healing and
converse.

He noted that the police and other security agencies need regular
prayer and assured that the church would sustain prayer for them to
win more souls for Christ.

The Archbishop urged privileged Nigerians to continue to support the
police to achieve their mandate of protecting life and property.

Earlier the donor, Chief Agina said he was motivated to donate the
chaplaincy to encourage police men and women to remain close to God
and live life that glorifies his name.

He said prayer is necessary in the life of police personnel and
disclosed that he has equally provided a water borehole for a police
station in his town.
