Government Agencies and affluent individuals have been charged to always patronize made in Anambra products to improve the State Internally Generated Revenue.
Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works made the call when it paid a visit to an Auto parts Manufacturing Company in Nnewi.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim was there and nreports that at an interactive session between the company and the Committee, the Chairman, House Committee on Works, Dr. Timothy Ifedioramma explained that their visit to the Company which specializes in lead Acid Batteries, was to promote patronage of Anambra products and to commend the owner for extending his wealth home, in line with the think home philosophy of Governor Willie Obiano.
Dr. Ifedioramma stressed the need for Ndi Anambra to always trust, buy and make use of the local services in the State so that the State can achieve economic prosperity.
The Committee assured that it will consider patronizing the company’s product for their vehicles to encourage others.
Earlier in his remark, the Chief Operating Officer of the company, Mr Vincent Ejike who commended the Committee for identifying with local products appealed to the Anambra State House of Assembly to enact a law that will stop the influx of substandard products from foreign countries into the State.
This according to him has greatly affected the zeal of the manufacturers to penetrate the local Market due to the penchant of most Nigerians for Foreign goods.
