More stakeholders have continued to commend giant strides recorded by Anambra State in various sectors after twenty- nine years of
existence.
They believe that the state has a bright future if the present tempo of development, growth and stability is sustained.
Paul Ezeoke reports that in his reaction, the National Chairman of Willie Obiano SupportGroup, Chief Jude Emecheta said the state at twenty-nine has a commendable story to tell as it is lucky to have good and purposeful civilian administrations over the years inspite of obvious challenges which he noted enabled it to out-pace even oil producing states in over-all development.
According to Chief Emecheta, the successive civilian administrations have continued to build and consolidate on achievements of their
predecessors and advanced the course of physical and human
infrastructural development thereby, sustaining steady growth indices.
He noted that the Obiano administration through its pillars of
development and enablers accelerated pace of development in all
sectors including initiating agricultural revolution that enabled the state achieve food security and expanded export capacity, effective and efficient security infrastructure, mass interventions in rural development that is opening up the entire state, repositioning the Education and Health Sectors, adding that influx of investors has created more employment opportunities and more windows of revenue generation . Chief Emecheta stressed the need for a future adminitration with clear vision for the state to consolidate on legacy projects already on ground.
In his reaction, a Former President General Nnobi Town Union, Dr Mike Omenugha said the state has a lot of success stories to tell after twenty nine year following various inputs by successive
administrations that launched the state on course for sustainable
development.
Dr. Omenuagha who is a medical practitioner noted that introduction of Anambra state Health Insurance Scheme and other Interventions have brought quality and affordable healthcare services to the door steps of Ndi Anambra, while repositioning the Education Sector has enabled students from the state to excel in national and international competitions.
He observed that the present administration also dislodged and sacked kidnappers and armed robbers from the state and created conducive environment for socioeconomic activities to thrive.
