The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Health says it is determined to address challenges facing primary health care delivery in the State.


House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the committee gave the assurance during its meeting with government agencies in Awka.


The Committee interacted with the Head of Service, Mr.
Harry Uduh, Chairman of Local Government Service Commission, Sir Peter Egenti, Executive Secretary of Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Chioma Ezenyimulu on ways to improve primary Heath care delivery in the State.


Speaking to journalists after sessions with some of the invited guests, the Chairman, House Committee on Health, Dr. Cater Umeh said the meeting is necessary in determining the challenges facing quality primary health care delivery in the State.


He expressed optimism that the exercise will improve healthcare delivery system in Anambra State, in line with the agenda of the Obiano administration.


A member of the Committee, Dr. Timothy Ifedioramma who extolled the contributions of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, noted that the Agency was instrumental in addressing the challenges of COVID-19 in the State
