The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche
Okafor has assured that the state legislature will give necessary
support to zone thirteen of the Nigeria Police Force to guarantee
security of life and property of the citizenry.


The speaker gave the assurance when Chief Austine Oguejiofor who was
accompanied by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of
zone thirteen, Mr Danmalllam Mohamed paid him a courtesy visit in his
office in Awka.


The Speaker noted that Governor Willie Obiano places high premium on
the security of life and property of the citizenry by investing
meaningfully in it.


He expressed happiness that Anambra is the safest State in the Country
with good road network and street lighting which has resulted in
influx of investors to the State and assured Mr Mohamed that the House
will give him all the necessary support to succeed in office.
The State number one lawmaker commended Chief Oguejiofor for heeding
the think home philosophy of Governor Willie Obinano by embarking on
construction of five hundred housing units at Nkwelle Ezunaka in
partnership with the state government, which will meet the housing
needs of the people.


In his speech, Chief Oguejiofor explained that he came to appreciate
the House for enacting quality laws that is helping Governor Obiano to
realize his vision for the State, adding that the good working
relationship that exists between the legislative and Executive Arms of
government has resulted in good governance of the State.


In a remark, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of
zone thirteen, Mr Mohamed revealed that he came to the House to
familiarize with the lawmakers and to partner them in the task of
safeguarding the state.


The Assistant Inspector-General of Police expressed his commitment to
ensuring that Anambra State remains the safest State where the people
will go about their legitimate businesses without fear.
