Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has cautioned Motorists against dangerous overtakings and driving against traffic this Ember Months.The Sector Commander of the Corps in the State Mr Andrew Kumapayi who gave the advice in an interview with newsmen in his office in Awka, described Ember Months as a period when Motorists and other road users should be careful on the highways.

Mr Kumapayi while describing Road Safety as a collective responsibility urged Motorists to always ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before plying the highways.

He said that Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps will partner other relevant agencies across the State to ensure safety on the road this Ember Months and beyond.Mr Kumapayi disclosed that the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra State will soon embark on aggressive campaign in major Motor parks to ensure safety.He warned Drivers of Articulated Vehicles against putting additional lights on their vehicles, urging them to remove such or risk their vehicles being impounded by the Officers and Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps.He commended Governor Willie Obiano for all his support to the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra State and called for its sustenance.
