A one-day forum organized for Onitsha South Local Government area APGA Woman Leaders and their Deputies has ended with a call on them to be vigilant, come together and work as a team to achieve a common purpose.
The meeting, organized by the member representing Onitsha South Two Constituency at the Anambra State Assembly, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu- Nkemdiche was held at the GRA Onitsha and co-hosted by the member representing Onitsha South One constituency, Honourable Uzoma Eli.

Njideka Okoye of our editorial desk was there and reports that while addressing the women, Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche said the meeting was aimed at brainstorming on continuity to ensure that APGA remains the leading party in Anambra State.
She commended Governor Willie Obiano for his developmental projects citing the Anambra Cargo Airport at Umueri, the recent presentation of cars to the state traditional rulers and all the wards in Onitsha South for their doggedness and support to APGA, urging them not to relent.
On his part, Honourable Eli thanked God for Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, whom he described as a good mentor and sister to him, urging the women to embrace the APGA spirit of
“onye-aghana-nwanneya”.
The APGA Chairman Onitsha South, Mr. Ikechukwu Mofus-Ezeoba, who thanked the two state Lawmakers for their efforts, advised the women to be prepared for the upcoming election in the state.

In their remarks, the Woman Leader of APGA Onitsha South LGA, Mrs.
Ifeyinwa Umeugokwe and the secretary, Mrs. Ijeoma Okafor thanked the Lawmakers for their good works in Onitsha South and for giving voice to the voiceless and promised their support to APGA.
The meeting climaxed with the distribution of items to the women and chanting of songs.
