A former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has commended Governor Willie Obiano for providing enabling environment for Ndi Anambra to bring their investments home.
Professor Soludo gave the commendation when he visited the Anambra Luxury Place Estate at Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi local government area.
The ‘Aku lue uno’ call by Governor Obiano has yielded tremendous results and attracted investments to Anambra state.
After taking a tour of the estate, Professor Soludo commended the Chairman of Rotech Energy Services Ltd, Chief Austin Oguejiofor for his foresight in entering into a Public Private Partnership, PPP, arrangement with Anambra State Government in the construction of a smart city at Nkwelle Ezunaka, a short distance away from Onitsha and the Anambra International Cargo Airport site.
On his part, Chief Oguejiofor, noted that the Nkwelle GRA project would boost development in the state, create jobs while providing quality living accommodation to those, who will buy into the estate.
He also listed some of the amenities that will be found in the estate on completion to include Fire Service Station, Police Station, Schools, Worship Centers, Hospitals, hotels, and Recreational Parks.
For, Mr. Akabuogu, it is a unique opportunity to be part of the lofty projects.
Professor Soludo and Chief Oguejiofor were accompanied on the visit by the member representing Awka South one Constituency at Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor, his Onitsha North two counterpart, Edward Ibuzor, Chidi Akabogu of Steinberg Group and Chief Uche Nworah, the MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, among others.
Highpoint of the visit was the collection of subscription form by Professor Soludo.
