– Family now quarantined in White House

– We’re getting better — First Lady

THE United States of America’s President, Donald Trump and his wife Melania have contracted the coronavirus. Office of the U.S. President, the White House disclosed this early today, Friday.
The report also confirmed by the President in his personal Twitter account comes in the heels of blames leveled at Mr. Trump for prizing his political success in the ongoing campaign for general election and passing blames for the global disease to China higher than fighting to save his country from it.

Trump, 74, was diagnosed hours after it became publicly known that Hope Hicks, a top Trump aide who traveled with him on Air Force One and Marine One this week, tested positive on Thursday morning.
In his Twitter handle, Trump communicated the development at about 1am today. He disclosed that he and the First Lady have gone into quarantine. He tweeted thusly: “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for the coronavirus. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”.

The development comes month after it has emerged the Mr. Trump has deliberately played down the coronavirus pandemic that has killed more than 205,000 Americans and affected millions more in the north American country.

The U.S. President who is currently at the peak of campaign for a second term in office as the Republican Party’s presidential candidate in the election set to hold in November has also been observed to stage large-crowd rallies and townhall meetings where W.H.O. recommended Coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols such as social distancing and wearing of face masks are disregarded.

However, the president’s medical staff, Sean P. Conley, has affirmed in a report, available to the press, that Mr. Trump and his wife “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.”

Last Thursday, an aide of Trump told Washington Post that the President seemed normal and did not show any symptoms, though he was aware of his staff Hicks’ COVID-19 condition.
White House has revealed that all of the President’s political events will be canceled for the foreseeable future, raising fears that the development will affect his and the Republican Party’s preparations for the now frenzied November 2020 presidential election.
For now, the possibility of the second lap of the U.S. Presidential Debate, holding at all or as scheduled for in less than a fortnight is in doubt.
Nevertheless, the U.S. First Lady, in a tweet, some hours ago stated that there is no cause for alarm as the family’s condition is improving.
