The Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano says
her husband Governor Willie Obiano will continue to deliver quality
service to Ndi Anambra till his last day in office.
She spoke at Ihiala and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas, during her visit.
While   addressing the people at the two local government areas, the Governor’s Wife who was represented by the Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mezue, noted that even as massive ongoing projects are being completed, new legacy
projects have been initiated and will be inaugurated before the end of
the present administration.
Dr Obiano also noted that her social covenant with Ndi Anambra will
remain alive as far she lives, underscoring that her charity
programmes are human-focused.
The Governor’s Wife also gave palliatives to indigent widows, less
privileged persons, the physically challenged and other poor persons
selected from all the fourteen communities that make up the two local
government areas.
The Deputy Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly and Member
representing Ihiala Constituency Two, Dr Paschal Agbodike, said that
it is important that people with the means continue to support the
Caring Family Enhancement Initiative.
In their separate remarks, the Anambra State Commissioner for
Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C-Don Adinuba, and a
stakeholder in Ihiala, Chief Akachukwu Nwankpo, observed that Dr
Obiano has  continued to demonstrate  her love for humanity.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala Local Government Area,
Chief Jude Obiwulu, and his Ekwusigo counterpart, Mr Austin Enendu,
described the visits which have been an annual fixture for the
Governor’s Wife for the last seven years, as very important to  the poor
around the state who have become used to Dr Mrs Obiano’s humanitarian
disposition.
The Anambra State Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA,
Sir Nobert Obi, the Executive Secretary of Anambra State Primary
Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Chioma Ezenyimulu, the Chairman of
Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, Chief Patrick Ugbaja,
the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital
Territory Development Authority, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa, the
Managing Director of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency,
Chief Jude Emecheta, were all present at the visits.
