The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has welcomed Chief Vincent Udobi, a prominent political player in Dunukofia Local Government Area, to the party.
Chief Udobi, also a renowned businessman is joining APGA at a time when, stakeholders say, the party is gearing up to consolidate it dominance in the state having recorded a landslide victory in the 2017 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
Correspondent, Daniel Ezeigwe, reports that as different speakers made their remarks at the formal induction of the new APGA member, the central message resounded the necessity for Ndi Igbo to galvanize a solid political force that would make the voice of the ethnic group strong in national affairs.
The National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, who led some of APGA National Working Committee members to the induction, stated that APGA is the only political party in Nigeria with distinct political model, adding that the party would win the 2021 election in Anambra State unopposed.
The Anambra State Chairman of APGA, Sir Norbert Obi was represented by his deputy, Chief Theophilly Nnoli.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area, Engineer Emeka Okonkwo, said that Chief Udobi’s political exposure and immense personality make him a very important tool in the overall success of the APGA both in Anambra State and at the national front and observed that the party’s progress is a collective effort that must be sustained irrespective of where any member finds his or herself.
The new APGA member, Chief Udobi, in his remarks, said that APGA has always shown an impressive binding love as one promising political family, pledging to dedicate his best to the party’s continuity and success.
Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly led by the Majority Leader, Dr Nnamdi Okafor, Transition Committee Chairmen, members of the state executive working committee of the party, as well as notable APGA faithful in Dunukofia Local Government Area, were present at the event.
Chief Udobi was finally invested with the party uniform to symbolize his formal membership and acceptance into APGA.
