The Member representing Onitsha South Constituency One in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Uzoma Eli has donated four brand new transformers to electoral wards in Fegge community to boost power supply in the area.

The Transformers were distributed to four electoral wards under Onitsha South constituency One.

Speaking after the distribution exercise, Honourable Eli said he was touched by the plights of the people having grown up in Fegge and as such, knew the challenges facing the community of which poor power supply is one of them.

He stressed that the essence of good governance is to bring succour to the people noting that the transformers were part of his promises to the community.

Honourable Eli said he will ensure that the Transformers are put into use as soon as possible urging the beneficiaries to take ownership of the Transformers by protecting it.

In a speech, the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Onitsha South Local Government Area, Chief Ezeoba described Honourable Eli as a good representative of APGA.

Chief Ezeoba urged the community to reciprocate the gesture by voting for APGA in subsequent elections in the constituency and the state in general.

In his comment, the Chairman of Fegge community, Sir Emmanuel Udeh noted that the community is witnessing a new dawn and first of its kind in the history of Fegge and assured Honourable Eli of their total support.

The Personal Assistant to Honourable Uzoma Eli, Mr. Miracle Izunegbu explained that other wards under Onitsha South Constituency One will receive their Transformers soon and urged the community to keep supporting them.

 

Oggorchukwu Oranu reports that Honourable Eli later handed over keys of the transformers to ward Chairmen.
