Governor Willie Obiano has donated an eighteen-seater bus to I-Witness Media Crew to enhance their work.

The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba announced the donation during a-one-day media parley, organized by the crew in Awka, to commemorate its second year anniversary.


I-Witness Media Crew set up in 2018 by Mr. Chidiebele Obika with the aim of bridging information gap between governments and the governed, won the best media online team category at the Anambra State Media Excellence Award in 2019 within one year of its existence.

Addressing participants, Mr. Adinuba, who described information as power, announced that the legacy projects of Governor Obiano were not executed with borrowed money.

He therefore advised everyone to always be accurately informed to avoid circulating misinformation in order to build a better society.


In a lecture titled “Nigeria the Audacity of New Thinking”, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. James Eze listed many reasons why Nigeria as a country has not failed its citizens.

Mr. Eze called on the youths to come together and fashion out ways of entrenching peaceful co-existence with other stakeholders.

Earlier in his welcome address, the convener Mr. Obika assured their readiness to properly inform and enlighten the people of government policies and programs.


Present during the event were the Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala, his Housing counterpart, Architect Mike Okonkwo, Member representing Nnewi South Constituency at the state Assembly, Honorable Nonso Okafor, the Executive Chairman of Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe and the traditional ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka among others
The event climaxed with conferment of meritorious awards on some dignitaries.
