The Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa has directed residents of the state to make use of the pedestrian bridges to avoid road mishaps.
Venerable Okwuosa, who gave the directive while exchanging views with the press in his office at Awka, said the installed wire mesh on the Aroma-Kwata axis of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, will soon be extend to Government House, the Esther Obiakor area and Amawbia Round About.
He noted that the wire meshes is aimed at preventing people from crossing the expressway as well as adding aesthetic beauty to the city.
Venerable Okwuosa however cautioned Anambra State residents to desist from turning the bridges into market warning that defaulters would be apprehended and prosecuted.
