Anambra state Police Command has continued its visibility patrol as part of measures to prevent and fight crime in Anambra state during and after the Yuletide period.

During the patrol exercise, the team led by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang represented by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Haruna Muhammed kicked – off the patrol at the state CID Annex, Awkuzu, passed through Ogidi junction, Nkpor roundabout, Iyiagu junction, Upper Iweka, Boromi, Head Bridge and Niger Street Onitsha, among other strategic places.

Speaking to journalists after the exercise, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abang explained that the visibility patrol is part of the arrangement by the Anambra state Police Command and other security agencies towards ensuring a hitch free Christmas celebration in the state.

Mr. Abang assured Ndi Anambra of adequate security of life and property in the state throughout the Christmas season, and asked them not to relent in providing the police with necessary information that will aid provision of safety and security in the state.

The Anambra state Police Commissioner advised motorists to be courteous, patient, and obedient to road signs while plying the roads this Yuletide period, noting that men and officers of the state police command have been instructed to be professional while discharging their duties on road throughout this period and beyond.
