The member representing Orumba South Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Engineer Emma Nwafor has built an ultra-modern examination auditorium with security post for Victory High School, Ezira, Orumba South Local Government Area.

The ultra-modern building, inaugurated recently, has been handed over to the school management for use.

House of Assembly correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim was there and  reports it was a moment of joy to the students and staff of the school as they rolled out their drums expressing gratitude to the legislator for meeting their most pressing need.

In his remark, Engineer Nwafor, who described education as the bedrock of every progressive society that must not be neglected, noted that the auditorium was borne out of his love and passion for education.

He revealed that it would help the school management to conduct proper examinations for their students to discourage examination malpractices.

In her address, the Principal of the School, Mrs. Nonye Nwaosa, who described Engineer Nwafor as the best thing that happened to the school this year, revealed that the project is the fulfillment of the promise he made to them.

The Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, represented by Mrs. Vivian Ogbuehi thanked the legislator for complimenting the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano in the education sector and assured that the ministry will support him by equipping the school library with more books to enhance effective teaching and learning.

On his part, the Transition Committee Chairman, Orumba South Local Government Area, Mr. Cyprian Okereke stated that the people of Orumba South made the right choice in Engineer Nwafor evidenced by the lofty projects he has executed so far in the area.

Later, the lawmaker awarded scholarships to three students of the school, Messrs’ Somtochukwu Chukwuka, Vera Nwafor and Amara Nkiruka for their wonderful performances in examinations, punctuality and discipline.

He also empowered a physically challenged person in his constituency, Mr. Kelechi Mbah with a tricycle.
