Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), on Thursday, 17th December, 2020 held her 2020 Festival of Nine Lessons, Carols and Award ceremony.
Choirs from different churches including ABS Heartbeat Chorale entertained the audience with different Christmas songs.
The event was graced by top government functionaries, traditional rulers, clergymen and staff of ABS.
Among the dignitaries at the event are Sir Willie Nwokoye, Principal Secretary to Governor Willie Obiano, a former Commissioner of Housing in Anambra State, Dr. Nky Obi, the First Vice President of Ozubulu Development Union, Chief Anthony Ogomegbunam, and the Chairman Rotech Group, Chief Austin Oguejiofor, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Culture, Arts and Tourism, Honourable Chinedu Kelvin, and others.
Highlight of the event was the award ceremony which saw Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo, Group Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Plc receiving Banker of the Year award for his contributions to the financial services industry. Fidelity Bank Plc received Bank of the Year award.
Other awardees are; Hon. Chief Christopher Ndubuisi (Community Service Award), Hon. (Amb.) Peter Ifeanyi Uzokwe (President General of the Year), Engineer Dr. Emeka Ezeh (Community Service Award), Chief Emmanuel Odoh (Oil & Gas Company of the Year), Very Rev. MSGR Prof. John Bosco Akam of Tansian University (Best Private University of the Year), Architect Stan Nwana (Contributions to the Hospitality Industry Award), Dr. Ibeh Ezekiel Ifeyi of Swisstech Ind. Ltd (Corporate Brand of the Year), Humphrey A. Ngonadi (Industrialist of the Year), High Chief Ikenna Okafor (Philanthropist of the Year), Hon. Dr. Charles Okelute Okadigbo (Community Service Award), and Chief Gabriel Chukwuma (Grand Patron of Foorball).
