Knights of St. John International, Commandary 434 and LAUX 363, St. Patrick Cathedral Awka has presented a “Distinguished Media Executive Officer Award ” to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah.


The Commandry recognized Chief Nworah for his exceptional quality and innumerable Services to God and humanity.
The group made the presentation during a courtesy visit to Chief Nworah at ABS Corporate headquarters in Awka.
Presenting the award, the President, of the Commandary 434, St. John Sir Raphael Nwike said that the award is their commendation to ABS for its rapid transformation and her Managing Director who has distinguished himself as guru in the media industry.


They also commended Chief Nworah for the tree planting initiative around the establishment and said that the station has gone beyond average performance in its use of multi-media tools to reach every part of the world.
Receiving the award, Chief Nworah thanked the Knights for the recognition, saying it will spur the station to do more.


He dedicated the award to members of staff of the organization who he described as hard working and assured that the organization will not relent in informing, educating and entertaining Ndi Anambra all over the world.
Chief Nworah also appreciated the wonderful support of Governor Willie Obiano and Dr. Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano.
He announced that the station has successfully enrolled into global searchlight with its channel on Our TV 305, Startimes 113 and Metro-digital channel 29 while efforts are still being intensified to launch the station on Go-TV and DSTV to have an inclusive wider reach at all levels.
