Law Students Association of Nigeria, South-East Directorate of Policies, Programs and Projects has demonstrated love to Model Community Children’s Home, Real Estate Awka.
The Charity Outreach is known as LAWSAN Cares Project which is in line with their slogan, “one Lawsan one Nigerian”, targeted at showing love and other emotional support and care.
Chidinma Ikeanyionwu covered the donation and reports that items donated were bags of rice, cartons of noodles, tubers of yams, cheese balls and packs of drinks amongst others.
Handing over the items, the south east LAWSAN zonal President, Miss Onyinye Omenugha noted that although the gesture was initiated by the last administration, her administration has decided to sustain it as there is no better way of celebrating Christmas.
The LAWSAN South East President who extolled the exemplary leadership of their National President Mr. Blessing Agbumere also urged others to emulate them and reach out to people as that will help in giving them sense of belonging.
Responding on behalf of the Coordinator of the Home, the receptionist Mrs. Ada Morah appreciated the students praying God to bless them for remembering the home.
Others who spoke during the visit include LAWSAN EXCO Miss Simdi Ike-Okafor and Mr. Victor Okpanachi.
The group also visited an aged woman at Ifite Awka.
