The Member Representing Anambra East and West Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, have enjoined youths to live in truth and wisdom of God as they celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Chief Obidigwe made the call during the thanksgiving service of United Anambra Youth Assembly U-AYA and United Anambra Women Assembly U-AWA which took place at Saint Dominics Catholic Church, Agbaja Abatete, Idemili North Council Area.

The legislator, Chief Obidigwe  noted  that the year 2020 is full of turbulent weather including  COVID-19 pandemic to End-Sars Protest and many other ill activities tormenting human live and existence, saying that the essence of the thanksgiving was to show gratitude to God for safeguarding their lives after all these whirlwind.

The Lawmaker who lauded Governor Willie Obiano’s administration for keeping the state safe even with  the current national economic recession, challenged  affluent individuals to give succor to the less privileged, while calling on Ndi Anambra to vote APGA come 2021 for the good of all.

Earlier in a homily while celebrating the mass, the assistant Vicar of the Church, Reverend Father Henry Nnajiofor said it is good to show gratitude to God for  great things He has done urging them to emulate the biblical David in praising and thanking God.

On his part, the Secretary to the Assembly and Transition Committee Chairman Nnewi South Local Government Area, Engineer Chiloka Okoye called on youths to shun  negative vices that can truncate the existing peace in Anambra as they celebrate the yuletide season.

The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Mr Jude Emecheta, said that thanksgiving is a way of showing appreciation to God and challenged youths to place God first in whatever they do.

Thanksgiving by the U-AYA, U-AWA and prayers  formed the highlights of the mass.
