Nigerians have been urged to harness opportunities abound in the country to overcome   adversities .

The Managing Director, Anambra Newspaper and Printing Cooperation, Sir Chuka Nnabuife  made the call during the end of the year get together of the organization in Awka.

According to Sir Chuka, even though the year have been a challenging one, it did not to deter the organization from achieving its mandate in a more innovative way, bringing out the best from its staff and succeeding in daily publication of its National Light Newspaper and maintaining strong presence on social media   at the peak of the Coronavirus pandemic and the attendant lock down.

He also commended the staff of the organization for their dedication and sacrifice in giving their best for the organization and prayed that the coming year will be much better.

In a remark, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Secondary Education, Dr. Paul Ifeanyi noted that even though the year has been challenging, the National Light Newspaper has been outstanding and commended the members of staff for their efforts.

In an interview, the Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Anambra State, Mr. Emma Ifesinachi, noted that Journalism is a creative art and commended Sir Chuka for his giant strides at the corporation, urging the staff to keep up their good work, as 2021 will be a better year.

Also speaking, Mr. Polycarp Onwubiko and Mrs. Rose Oranye, who are staff of the corporation, thanked God for protection within the year and commended the MD for his wonderful disposition.

The event featured recitation of poems written by Chuka Nnabuife and Izunna Okafor, with  themes  centered on COVID-19 pandemic and survival, rendition of hymns by Liturgical Choristers International and Mr. Eze Onwuji of the Anambra Broadcasting Service.
