The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye has been conferred with the traditional Chieftaincy title of Akaa Amalu of Aguleri ancient kingdom.

The conferment featured during the 121st Ovala Aguleri and the second Ovala of the traditional ruler of Aguleri, Eze Dr. Michael Idigo (Ezeudo Aguleri) at Amaigwe square, Aguleri.

Ozonkpu Oye was given the title after thorough scrutiny by Ndi ichie and Ndi Ojiana Aguleri.

Conferring the Akaa Amalu Aguleri chieftaincy title on Ozonkpu Oye, Eze Idigo said it was in recognition of his giant strides in ensuring that APGA has remained a top political party in Nigeria, and the only political party with Pan-Igbo ideology.

Eze Idigo added that Akaa Amalu Aguleri championed the victory of APGA candidates in various elective positions in parts of the country during the last General elections which he said is big feat to achieve. He commended his efforts towards the 21/21 victory achieved by APGA in the Anambra 2017 gubernatorial elections.

He urged him to keep the flag flying and to know that by virtue of the chieftaincy title , he and his household are now Ndi Aguleri.

Receiving the title, Ozonkpu Chief Oye appreciated Ndi Aguleri for finding him worthy, describing the commumity as one of those whose cultural heritage is highly revered .

He promised to as always , be an ambassador of the party, the state and now Aguleri community , calling on all to support APGA as it continues to lead Ndi igbo to expected heights.

Senator Victor Umeh, former National Chairman of APGA, Chief Dr. Uche Nworah, MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Austin Oguejofor, Chairman of Rotech Group were among the dignitaries at the event including some members of Anambra state government EXCO.
