The wife of Governor of Anambra State and founder of Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), a charity-based organization, Dr. Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano has commiserated with Jennifer Asuzu, the wife of Ernest Asuzu and entire Asuzu family, over the demise of the Nollywood actor.

Dr. Mrs. Obiano, who expressed the condolences on behalf of her family and her NGO, Caring Family Initiative, (CAFÉ), in a release by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Emeka Ozumba, in Awka after confirming the incident by the wife of the deceased, said that she is deeply grieved by the loss of Mr. Ernest Asuzu.

She described the late Nollywood actor and singer as a bubbly, hardworking young man whose progress was momentarily stalled by failing health and expressed sadness over the death of someone dear to them like Ernest which she said has left them devastated.

She recall the last time she met him in February 2020 at Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, where they evacuated him for treatment and how he recovered and was in good health after two weeks, noting that she followed up on his progress thereafter and was glad that their effort at rehabilitating him yielded positive result.

Dr. Mrs. Obiano noted that the death of Ernest has created a vacuum in the family and in the Nigerian entertainment sector and has also left an abiding sense of loss among his friends and compatriots.

She regretted that it is quite unfortunate he had to die this soon and prayed the good Lord to accept his soul.
