Governor Willie Obiano has called on the youths to channel their their youthful energy to meaningful ventures that will befit them, their families and the society in general.
The Governor made the call in Awka while declaring open the Stanel Masterclass, the first event in Access More with Stanel.
The Stanel Masterclass is a mentorship program that kick started the 2021 Access More with Stanel, an event that aims at training the youths, educating, entertaining and acquainting the public with services of the Stanel world.
Governor Willie Obiano who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke reminded the youths the need to make use of their brains and God given talents to effect positive change in the society and desist from social vices.
Governor Obiano restated the commitment of his administration towards providing enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state, and called on more investors to emulate the founder of Stanel and build more industries in the state to assist the government in providing job opportunities for the teaming youth.
In his remark, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Uchenna Okafor observed that what Stanel is doing complements what Governor Willie Obiano is doing for the youths of Anambra State, by bringing them close to governance thereby giving them a strong voice in policies and developing their leadership mindsets.
On his part, a one time Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo pointed out that three million jobs per annum must be provided for the youths before Nigeria begin to get it right on the topic of youth development, and that concentration must also be given to sound education, youth entrepreneurship development and mentorship.
In his address, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Stanel, Dr Stanley Uzochukwu explained that having gone through the ranks of mentorship under people who have succeeded in their entrepreneurship fields to get to where he is today, he felt it is important to channel the mindset of youths towards the same pattern of learning, by developing a platform where youths can gain complete insight into the formulas of success.
Also speaking, a former Senator Representing Anambra Central at the Senate, Chief Victor Umeh said that More of Stanel Mentorship Class is needed to reset the ideologies of the youths and equip them for leadership positions to actualize the much-talked-about leaders of tomorrow .
