The traditional ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka has commended Governor Obiano for placing the community on the world map through the Umueri International Cargo and Passengers Airport project.
Igwe Emeka made this known when Governor Willie Obiano paid him a condolence visit at his palace over the death of his octogenarian mother in-law, late Ezinne Agnes Avoba Ilogu.
According to Igwe Emeka, who described the Governor’s visit as a show of fraternal love,noted that it also afforded him a one-on-one platform to commend the Governor for putting his community on the global economic map with the soon-to-be completed Anambra International Cargo and Passengers Airport, Umueri.
Igwe Emeka described the late Ezinne Ilogu as a woman who cherished peace and stood as a strong maternal pillar in the family, having lived with her son in-laws for more than two decades.
Earlier in his speech, Governor Obiano said that Igwe Emeka is a close friend and a brother, urging the family to take solace in the late octogenarian’s fulfilled life.
Governor Obiano attended the condolence with some senior government officials.
Late Ezinne Agnes Ilogu died at the age of eighty-nine.
