Governor Willie Obiano says, the greatest Easter gift to ndi Anambra is the release of the kidnapped Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne.
Governor Obiano was speaking during an Easter mass, celebrated in his country home, Aguleri in Anambra East Council Area.
Wife of the Governor, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano was part of the mass.
According to Governor Obiano, rescue of Commissioner Ezenwanne is worth thanking God for, appreciating security operatives in the state for their doggedness.
While pointing out that without Easter, there would be no christianity, the Governor canvassed for everyone to imbibe the message of Easter and live thereby.
In a homily, Rev. Fr. Michael Odenigbo who spoke on resurrection, called for true love by humans in relating with neighbours, which he explained has so much blessings.
Highpoints were rendition by the choir and receipt of first holy communion by two of the Governor’s children.
Others present at the mass include Chief of staff to the Governor, Mr. Primus Odili, Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, his Public Utilities counterpart, Engineer Ezenwanne, traditional ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Mike Idigo, traditional ruler of Nteje, Igwe Roland Odegbo, among others.
