Christians have been charged to draw nearer to God to exercise their full right and potential as children of God.
The Bishop on the Niger Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo gave the charge at Saint Peter’s Anglican Church Nkpor-Agu in Idemili North Local Government Area, during the installation and Induction of Reverend Canon Sunday ILoh as the Vicar of the Church.
Correspondent Emengini Osadebe reports that the ceremony attracted the Clergy, legal luminaries, and parishioners from the Diocese on the Niger.
Right Reverend Nwokolo whose message centered on the appearance of Jesus Christ to his disciples after His resurrection, regretted that some people despite their stages in life as Christians are still in bondage because according to him they have failed to realize what Christ has done for them and the power deposited in them.
The Archdeacon of Nkpor New Covenant Archdeaconry, Venerable Emmanuel Ukpeke urged the new Vicar to look unto Jesus Christ who will grant him the grace to fulfill his carrier and advised the congregation to give him their maximum support.
In separate interviews with the ABS, the parents of the Vicar Mr. Alexander and Mrs. Amaka ILoh said their joy knew no bound as they are alive to witness the event.
Reverend Canon Sunday ILoh and his Wife Faith who were overwhelmed with joy expressed gratitude to God for fulfilling their dreams and called for prayers from their parishioners for fresh anointing to do more exploits in God’s vineyard.
Highlights of the event include re-dedication of various worship items in the Church by Bishop Nwokolo and presentation of gifts.
