Igbos Love Themselves Charity Foundation has off set the hospital bills of four women at Chibuikem Maternity Hospital, Tarzan Junction, Nkpor Idemili North Local Government Area who were unable to pay their bills after delivery.

 

Correspondent, Emengini Osadebe who witnessed the event reports that two other women also benefitted from the magnanimity of the charity Foundation.

 

The four women whose hospital bills were paid were, Mrs Blessing Nwafor and Mrs  Chinonso Nwuzor from Ebonyi State, Mrs Chinwendu Chimeta from Udi Local Government Area and Mrs Juliet Ogbu from Enugu Ezike both of Enugu State.

 

According to the report, Mrs Blessing Nwafor delivered two boys through Caesarian Session at the cost of two hundred and fifty thousand naira, Mrs Chinwendu Chimeta and Mrs Chinonso Nwuzor also delivered through Caesarian Sessions at the tune of two hundred and forty four thousand, three hundred naira and one hundred and eighty five thousand naira respectively but unfortunately lost their babies due to complications while Mrs Juliet Ogbu had a normal delivery and was billed thirty five thousand naira.

 

Addressing the women while handing over the money to them, the Senior Programme Manager, Igbos Love Themselves Charity Foundation, Mr Cosmos Nnabude, disclosed that they were sent by their founder Mr Mathias Ezeaku Ejiofor to come and offset their bills saying that the money given to them were contributions from Ndi Igbo both at home and in the diaspora who saw the plight of these women in a social media report when the members of the Foundation visited Mrs Nwafor.

 

Recounting their ordeal, the beneficiaries said they  were filled with joy and gratitude to God and the Foundation for its  benevolence and prayed God to replenish the pockets of the donors.

 

The Matron on duty Mrs Ebelechukwu Okonkwo on behalf of the hospital management, appreciated the Foundation for its magnanimity, describing the day as a wonderful day in the lives of their patients and prayed God for more blessings.
