Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor says the military will go offensive against kidnappers, bandits, cultists and all criminals operating in Nigeria and Anambra in particular.
General Irabor stated this when he called on Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, at his Aguleri country home.
Speaking immediately after a closed door meeting with the Governor, General Irabor revealed that his visit is to exchange views and compare notes with the Governor over the unfolding scenario within the security environment in Anambra state, pointing out that information have been exchanged.
The General who is the highest ranking military officer of the Nigerian Armed Forces assured that the military will synergize with other security agencies to restore peace in the State.
While warning criminals against indulging in criminal activities within Anambra and beyond, General Irabor assured ndi Anambra that criminality will be seriously dealt with forthwith.
Recieving the Chief of Defense Staff, Governor Obiano revealed that General Irabor visited the state on the directive of President Mohammadu Buhari, to help Anambra sort out the security challenges within the state.
While giving assurances that ndi Anambra will continue to sleep with their eyes closed, the Governor hinted that he held a brief discussion with him and mapped out a few measures and strategies to aid their operation.
Governor Obiano added that some major decisions were taken, all in a bid to keep Anambra secure and prosperous.
