Wife of the Governor of Anambra State and founder of the charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano has condoled with the Manafa family of Eziagulu Village, Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, over the death of their late mother, Ezinne Cecilia Ifeonu Manafa, Nee Makasi.
In her condolence message to the family, Dr. Obiano described the late matriarch as a mother who lived for love, sacrifice and peace, taking back memories to the deceased’s lifetime on earth.
She prayed for her peaceful repose in God’s bosom, and urged the family to seek fortitude in the deceased’s exemplary footprints.
In a homily during funeral mass at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Aguleri, officiated by the Catholic Bishop of Awgu Diocese, Most Reverend Ifeanyichukwu Okoye, the Parish Priest of Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church, Agbaja, Abatete, Reverend Father John Manafa said exemplary life, which Ezinne Manafa lived, is a basic necessity for God’s blessings.
Speaking on behalf of the family, one of the sons of the deceased, Mr. Marcel Manafa, who is a member of ABS Board of Directors and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Broadcast Media, said their late mother upheld virtues of love and kindness, noting that she died a saint.
Ezinne Cecilia Ifeonu Manafa died at the age of eighty-five.
