The National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons, NAPTIP, has sought the collaboration of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, towards sensitizing the public on the dangers of human trafficking.

The agency sought the collaboration during a courtesy call on the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ABS, Dr. Uche Nworah in Awka.

Correspondent, Emmanuel Chigbata reports that while speaking during the visit , the leader of the team, Mrs. Judith Ibadin, who is also the Anambra State Commander of NAPTIP,  lamented  the rising challenge  and ills of human trafficking in the country, stating that the rationale for the visit was to sensitize the public on the dangers of human trafficking, the message associated with it and how to curb the ugly menace.

Responding, Dr. Nworah, noted that the establishment is working in line with the mandate of the state government’s campaign against human trafficking.

He also assured them of his continued support even as he bemoaned the increasing level of human trafficking across the world.

Among the team were the Head, Investigation and Monitoring Unit, Engineer Cosmas Ogalanya, and the state Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Mr. Anthony Okafor.
