Uruofolo Legacy Hall Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area has been commissioned amidst joy and jubilation .
The event which took place at the Uruofolo Legacy Hall, drew villagers within and outside the town, friends, in-laws, Umu-Nwadiana, politicians as well, lovers of culture and traditions of Ndi Nri.
The building named Uruofolo Legacy Hall was built within a year by the village through some illustrious sons and daughters of the area, with a desire to have a rallying point that will accommodate all classes of people who will serve the needs of the village.
The Legacy building houses a multipurpose hall, an auditorium and office spaces.
The commissioning started with an interdenominational service , presided over by the Parish Priest, St. Peters Catholic Church Nri, Rev. Fr. Polycarp Obikwelu, who said that the project is a remarkable one as it shows the love that exists in the village and urged Ndi Uruofolo to continue to love one another at all times.
Speaking at the event, the President, Ikenga Nri, Mr. Godwin Uzoegbo and the Chairman Uruofolo Development Union, Chief Arthur Mbuba all appreciated Oba Ambrose Obi-Okoye and wife for the major roles they played in the actualization of the Hall and revealed that the Legacy Hall is one of the dreams of the village as it is designed to serve the village to improve the economy of the town.
Some Stakeholders in the village including messers Ambassador Ramas Okoye, Chief Eugene Obi-Okoye, Chief Emenike Ofoegbu, a former Managing Director, Anambra Broadcasting Service, Lady Chinwe Nnebedum and the Secretary of Uruofolo Development Union, Mr. Anthony Uzoegbo, thanked God for his love for the village.
Correspondent Chibuzo Obidike reports that the event featured various cultural displays, masquerade dance among others.
