Two drivers escaped death in a ghastly motor accident that  occurred on the Amawbia flyover in the early hours of today,   involvlng two Seana vehicle.
The two Seana cars, were badly damaged and one was  on top  of the other when the ABS crew got to the scene of the accident.
An  an  eye withness , Mr. Kachi Onije and another who identified himself as  Mr. Victor,  explained  that the accident was as a result of barricade on one side of the fly over by a construction company working on the road without sign to notify road users on the blockage of the road.
The Anambra state Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corp, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi  who was at the scene explained  that the accident happened around 4am today with no casualty, apart from the injured drivers of both vehicles who have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Mr. Irelewuyi harped on the need for adequate signs to always be provided by construction companies whenever on duty  and also warned people not to use worn out tyres to prevent road accident, especially this period of rainy season.
The state Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Afam Mbanefo who was also at the scene of the road accident, to access the level of damage emphasised that construction workers should  maintain community relationship, with critical stakeholders before embarking on major decisions on construction works .
In her reaction, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transport Company of Anambra State, Dr. Ifeoma Mmadukasi, whose vehicles  were involved in the accident said the construction company should  be careful while doing their work and thanked God for no loss of life.
