Anambra State Health Insurance Agency has commenced a state wide training of Health Officers-in-Charge of Basic Health Care Provision Fund, Monitoring and Evaluation Tools in various Primary Health Care Centres.

 

The officers are in charge of all the three hundred and thirty Health Care Centres, in Anambra State, implementing the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund on the monitoring and evaluation tools for recording and reporting activities in the programme.

 

According to the Executive Secretary of ASHIA, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, the Basic Health Care Provision Fund, Monitoring and Evaluation tools will be used to track the activities of the PHCs’ health workers, concerning the Federal Government Basic Health care Provision Fund (BHCPF).

 

Dr. Onyemaechi urged the trainees to take the exercise seriously as the agency will sanction anyone found wanting during the course of the programme, to enable Ndi Anambra benefit optimally like their counterparts in the laudable programme.

 

The programme is meant to help the poor and vulnerable Ndi Anambra access quality health care services with ease at all times.

 

Twenty eight thousand, two hundred and forty-six poor and vulnerable Ndi Anambra are currently benefiting from the National Basic Healthcare Provision Fund, made possible in the State, due to Governor Willie Obiano’s payment of Anambra state’s counterpart fund and fulfillment of all the requirements stipulated for States by the Federal Government for enlistments.
