Governor Willie Obiano has on behalf of the people and Government of Anambra State, commiserated with the first Minister of Aviation in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Mbazulike Amechi, over the loss of his wife, Iyom Chinelo Amechi.
The Governor paid a condolence visit to Chief Amechi in his Country-home at Ukpor.
Governor Obiano who was informed about the death less than twenty four hours ago, decided to visit in person as a mark of respect.
Chief Amechi is a native of Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area and the only surviving Minister of the first republic.
The Governor said that Chief Amechi’s wife lived a good life, asking the family to bear the loss with gratitude and confidence in God.
The Governor thereafter signed the condolence register.
