The Governor of Anambra State and  Chairman  Board of  Trustee of tl Willie Obiano has called on all aggrieved members of  the party, to sheath their swords and embrace unity of purpose to ensure victory for the party come November  six Governorship election.
Governor Obiano  who is also the National Leader and Chairman Board of Trustees of APGA  made the call when ndi Anambra and APGA members rooting for Professor Chukwuma Soludo’s emergence mobilzed to his Aguleri Country-home during a rally.
Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that the supporters marched from Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, through Awka and ended up at Aguleri.
Addressing the crowd, Governor Obiano who thanked God for the Appeal Court victory described the judgement as remarkable and applauded the people for the show of solidarity for the APGA candidate.
The Governor stressed the need for party faithful to unite and forge a common front for Professor Soludo because according to him, he remains the best candidate across political party divide, pointing out that he will hold the party together and consolidate on achievements already recorded.
Also speaking, the Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe said that Professor Soludo’s emergence followed due process at the APGA Primary election and expressed confidence that APGA has the capacity to win the  governorship  election.
Professor Soludo  in his remarks thanked God, the governor  as well as all party members for their support and confidence in the party and expressed optimism that APGA would emerge victorious in the election .
He applauded the judiciary for upholding the truth and made clear  that APGA has no factions, which he said INEC has acknowledged and explained that his nomination has both electronic and hard copy receipt by INEC and urged  Chief Chukwuma Umeoji and his sympathisers to sheath their swords, so that they can join hands in moving Anambra state forward.
Others who spoke including Mr. Chinedu Nwoye, among others said that the governor’s presence has reenforced  their confidence, noting that the mission they started cannot be truncated , assuring  that they will vote  and stand to protect their votes.
Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu and other State executive members, Transition Committee Chairmen, party Chairmen and secretaries, among others, attended the event.
