The Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, in Anambra State Sir Norbert Obi has urged Ndi Anambra to use the forthcoming governorship election to protect the future of the State and consolidate the principles of good governance.

Speaking in Awka, Sir Norbert stressed the need for them to remain focused and ensure that they obtain their voter’s cards to enable them participate actively in the election.

Paul Ezeoke reports that Sir Norbert recalled that APGA administrations over the years brought a new dawn in the governance of Anambra State and scaled up pace and quality of development in various sectors, noting that these have opened up rural communities as well as widened opportunities for economic development.

He explained that continuity is critical at this time to enable the state gain more mileage in human and infrastructural development, noting that restoration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo’s name by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, as the Governorship candidate of  the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the coming election is a pointer that the State is on course for brightest future and urged APGA members to intensify grassroots mobilization of the electorate for the exercise.

Also speaking, the National Patron of Anambra Demand for Professor Soludo, Chief Henry Igboeli commended the judiciary for rising to the challenge of protecting democracy and noted that listing of Professor Soludo as APGA flag-bearer has restored people’s confidence in the electoral process.

Chief Igboeli urged people of the State to disregard political party sentiment and support a candidate who has a vision and political will to elevate the state to a higher pedestal.
