Over one thousand three hundred rural dwellers have benefited from Dr Marcel Ofomata free Medical outreach.

The tenth edition of free medical outreach was held at Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area and Nanka in Orumba North Local Government Area respectively.

The beneficiaries received various free medical services including general diagnosis, treatment, medical consultations, eye-checks, presentation of free eye glasses, medical examinations, presentation of associated medications, referrals, health education and sensitization on preventive ways of living in the COVID-19 pandemic era.

Nneka Anoliefo was there and reports that the Founder, Dr Marcel  Ofomata on behalf of the leadership of the Foundation expressed  gratitude to the Medical Professionals, numerous volunteers for continuously committing their professionalism and time in the service of humanity through the Foundation.

He equally appreciated the traditional ruler of Isuofia Igwe Christopher Muoghalu, a retired Colonel and his Nanka counterpart Igwe Godwin  Ezeilo and the two host communities for their reception as well as the management and staff Of Ozalla Primary Health Care Centre, Isuofia and Ofuobi General Hospital, Nanka for the reception and collaborations.

He also thanked  the Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Awka and the former Commissioner of Health, Anambra State, Dr Joe Akabuike and the Director of Health in Aguata Local Government Area, Mrs Ifeoma Ezeofor for their presence and presentations on Health Education during the Mission as well as the solidarity of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Aguata Division.

Dr Ofomata charged privileged individuals and Non-Governmental Organizations to partner the Marcel Ofomata Foundation in serving humanity in different areas of interventions.

He said that he is committed to the Foundation’s mission of contributing to the transformation of humanity  by training hands and empowering minds.

In their separate speeches the Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Dr Joe Akabuike, Director Health in Aguata Local Government Area, Mrs Ezeofor  other health professionals and workers thanked Dr Marcel for taking health care to the door step of the citizenry.

Some of the beneficiaries  including Mrs Ukamaka Anoliefo, Mrs Perpetua Obiano and Mr Oforefuna Peter appreciated Dr Ofomata’s kind gesture praying God Almighty to bless and reward him abundantly.

The Marcel Ofomata Foundation has shown commitment in consolidating on the health needs of the rural dwellers through her Annual Free Medical Missions in addition to her other interventions in Academic Scholarships  up to University level, Academic Grants, Revolving Seed Fund for Women Empowerment, Youths Empowerment, Solar-Powered Electrification Projects, Provision of Clean Water to Communities, Sports Development and ongoing building of Entrepreneurial Resource Centre at the University Of Nigeria Nsukka among others.
