Anambra has been described as one of the fast growing manufacturing hubs in Nigeria.
Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, stated this during his one-day official visit to the State, where he commissioned Agu-Awka Injection Sub-Station and the Digital Shoemaking Facility in Ogbunike.
Professor Osinbajo said business people have enjoyed conducive environment in the State, and commended the Obiano administration for the exponential growth the State is experiencing, despite limitations, assuring that the Federal government will do all that it can to ensure that Nigerian people, especially Ndi-Anambra, do businesses in a conducive environment.
Receiving the Vice President, Governor Obiano, while noting that shoes made in Anambra will now look like ones made in Europe or elsewhere, said that with the newly commissioned digital leather and shoe production complex and Power, Anambra can compete favourably and be in a position to export shoes and make foreign exchange.
He said the projects commissioned have given the industrialization pillar of his administration firm roots, stressing that Anambra State has one of the most fertile soils for Industrialization.
